Cottage Grove United Church of Christ, 7008 Lamar Ave., Cottage Grove
This rummage sale fills the entire church basement. You will find clothing and accessories for all, shoes, boots, lingerie, blankets and bedding, arts and crafts, kitchen items, decor, linens, books, toys, Granny Bev’s Attic-vintage and collectibles, DVD’s, CD’s, and more. Stay for a pulled pork sandwich or chicken noodle or potato soup made by the church basement ladies and a slice of pie. Profits from the sale will go towards the following charities:
$1,000 for warm gloves and mittens, about 150 pairs to seven local elementary schools to keep children warm.
$1,000 to TLC of Hastings, which provides pregnancy support. Money will be used for car seats, changing tables, cribs.
$600 to Basic Needs Food Market in Cottage Grove, which provides free access to anyone in need of fresh food.
$1,000 to Operation Christmas Child to provide shoe boxes full of gifts and postage to deliver them to children in remote areas around the world.
$500 to Marvelous Mitten Makers to provide yarn for knitters that make mittens for all elementary schools in the St. Paul School District.
$500 to Washington County Foster Care system to provide Christmas gifts for children in foster care.
