Time to set the tee, strike the ball and watch it soar, all for a good cause at the 15th Annual St. Croix Valley Scramble, Monday, July 17 at the Hastings Golf Club. Check-in and lunch begins at 10:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at noon. The social hour kicks off at 5 p.m. with a BBQ rib dinner and prizes to follow.

This is a tax-deductible event benefiting the Carpenter Nature Center. There will be a grill-out lunch, a new “Party Cart” raffle, special games, $20 team mulligans, a hole-in-one contest, as well as longest drive and longest putt.

Asked about the event, Erika Jensen, CNC’s Development Coordinator said, “The St. Croix Valley Scramble is a golf fundraiser benefitting Carpenter Nature Center. We partner with the Hastings Golf Club to bring in local business and community golfers for a fun day of food, games, raffles, and of course, golf! Funds raised at this event support Carpenter’s environmental education and habitat conservation programs.”

There will be specialty games with a nod to the Nature Center this year. Jensen explained,

“Some of the games are similar to what you might see at other scrambles, like Wine & Beer Putting Contest and an opportunity to ‘Beat the Hotshot,’” Jensen explained. “However, some have a more distinctive Nature Center flair, like a ‘Closest to the Coyote’ hole contest, Nature Trivia, and more.”

The event is $100 per golfer or $400 per foursome. The registration fee includes green fees, golf cart, meals, and a $30 donation to CNC. Participants can register and pay online at tinyurl.com/stcroixscramble23 or mail-in, email, or register by phone. All participants must register by Wednesday, July 12.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available and are 100% tax-deductible.

“This event wouldn’t be possible without the help of incredibly generous sponsors,” Jensen said. “If interested in sponsoring the event, please contact Erika at 651-437-4359 ext. 101 or email at erika@carpenternaturecenter.org.”
