Park’s jumpers Rainna Jameson and OT Omot led the way for the Wolfpack in the Suburban East Conference track and field meet Tuesday and Thursday at Park High School.

The school record-holder in the high jump as a freshman, Jameson won the conference high jump with a leap of 5-2. She placed fourth in the long jump with a personal record of 16-06.5. Jameson was fifth in the triple jump, going 34-04.75.

Omot cleared 6-2 to win the high jump in a personal best, and by four inches over the next closest competitor. Omot placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 43-08, another personal best, and also took 16th in the long jump.

Jameson won the high jump by clearing 5-2, the only jumper to clean higher than five feet.

Mounds View won the girls team race with 214.5 points. Roseville was second with 177.5 points and Stillwater third with 136. Park was ninth with 38 points.

Stillwater easily won the boys team race with 238.5 points to 166 for Forest Lake and 153.5 for White Bear Area. Park was ninth with 43 points.

Park’s track and field athletes move on to the Section 3AAA meet held Wednesday and Friday at Two Rivers High School in Mendota Heights, with events from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. both days.

Boys’ results

Senior Brady Perryman finished third in the long jump with a personal record of 20-10.5. Omot was 16th in the event at 19-00. Perryman was 14th in the triple jump with a mark of 39-07.

Sophomore Evan Brummond tied for seventh in the high jump, clearing 5-8.

Senior Jacob Karp finished sixth in the discus (135-06) and teammate Treyton Bammert-Muller was ninth (128-00), both setting personal records.

Conner Fish was 12th in the 400 in a PR of 54.33. Gavin Stauffer finished 14th in the 3,200 in a PR of 10:32.21. Treyton Bammert- Mueller finished 15th with a personal best of 40-11 in the shot put.

“OT Omot won the high jump, Brady Perryman got third in the long jump, we had two places in the disc, Jacob Carp and Trey Bammert, we had another place, I mean a tie for seventh in the high jump and our 4×4 ran pretty well, our 4×8 ran pretty well, our 4×1 ran okay, the 4×2 missed a handoff,” said Park boys head coach Mike Moran. “But the kids ran well. All four of our milers had PRs. So, we had a good day.”

Girls’ results

Ninth grader Hailey Nelson went 4-8 to tie for fifth in the high jump. Savannah Brown cleared 9-6 in a PR to take ninth in the pole vault. Kylie Dahm was 14th in the pole vault at 8-6.

Sophomore Emma Taschner placed ninth in the 200-meter finals in a personal record 27.34.

Zoey Bammert-Mueller finished ninth in the shot put with a personal best of 32-01.5.

Tori Stepka was 15th in the 800 in 2:30.57.

In the relays Park was eighth in the 4×100 (53.90), seventh in the 4×200 (1:51.63), ninth in the 4×400 (4:31.27) and sixth in the 4×800 with the team of Stepka, Ellen Jensen, Hailey Kieffer and Kathryne Townsend (10:50.78).

“Field events were exceptional I thought today,” said Park girls coach Brad Narveson. “Rainna Jameson, high jump champ the other day, fifth in the triple jump today. Savannah Brown, ninth in the vault. I know she PR’d by a foot and a half, so that’s excellent. Zoey Bammert-Mueller placed in the shot put, ninth place with a PR, so that was great. Emma Taschner PR in the 200-meter dash, finished ninth, so all-conference honorable mention for all of them.

“The relays ran well, right around their season bests,” Narveson continued. “The 4×8, 4×4 improved on their times from earlier this season. So, I just thought it was a good day all the way around. It was fun.”
