Featured Events Contraption Club Thursday, June 2 from 3 to 5 P.M.
Join us for Contraption Club to explore and learn how to use new technology to make almost anything. Participants will have access to 3D printing, laser cutting, coding robots, soldering, Cricut cutting machines, computerized embroidery, and more. This activity is for ages 9-12. This workshop is funded in part with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education.
Teen Social Activism Series: Hip Hop’s Calligraphy Friday, June 3 from 2:10 to 4 P.M.
Join See More Perspective, hip hop artist, spoken word poet, and social justice educator, in this workshop about the cultural art form of handstyle in creating graffiti. Learning its significance and how to create your own personalized letters. This program is for ages 11-18. Registration is required. Tiny Art Fair Pick Up: A Day at the Tiny Museum Monday, June 6 from 12 to 8 P.M.
Pick up a Tiny Art Fair kit with a 3×3 canvas, brush, and assorted acrylic paints. Make your own original masterpiece or improve on a classic. Return it to the library by July 2 and it will be put on display. You’ll be able to pick up your artwork in early August. Registration is required. Open-Ended Art for Adults: Sidewalk Chalk Tuesday, June 7 from 6 to 7:30 P.M.
Join us each month at Park Grove Library for an art experience just for adults. In June, adults are welcome to chalk the front walk at the library with designs and drawings of their own creations. Pick up a basket of chalk from the information desk and enjoy spending time outdoors using your imagination. Registration is required. Take and Make: Dinosaur Eggs Wednesday, June 8 Become a paleontologist for the day and excavate your own dinosaur fossil. Pick up supplies from the library to identify and classify a dinosaur at home. Recommended for ages 6-12. Registration is not required.
