Minnesota in World War Two with Col. Don Patton

World War 2 Roundtable President Col. Don Patton will be the featured speaker for the Washington County Historical Society Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 20th at the Stillwater Event Center.
Col. Don Patton from the World War II RoundTable and the presentation will highlight the Minnesotans who played major roles during WWII and contributions from companies on the home front. Col. Patton was the Commander of the 882nd Personnel Service Company, Commander of the 407th Civil Affairs Battalion and Commander, 13th Psyops Battalion. He retired after 30 years of Service as Colonel.
He earned a B.S. Degree from Texas A & M and an M.B.A. at the University of Minnesota. He also attended the Command & Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth and the Army War College at Carlisle, PA.
Col. Patton was the Co-Founder of the Dr. Harold C. Deutsch WWII History Round Table; he was a director of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Committee on Foreign Relations and the founder of the Texas A & M Alumni Club in the Upper Midwest.
The dinner meeting will be at the Stillwater Event Center, 1910 S. Greeley Street – next door to the Washington County Heritage Center on Thursday March 21st. The event is open to the public and the cost is $25 for WCHS members and $30 for nonmembers. The evening will begin at 5:30 with a social hour, dinner catered by Scheel’s Catering at 6:30 and the annual meeting will be at 7:30. Col. Patton’s presentation will start shortly after the meeting.
Seating is limited and organizers expect a large attendance. Reservations are required in advance.
