Park boys swim to Tartan Invite team title

Park’s swimmers and divers capped a huge week with a team victory in the 12-team Tartan Invite Saturday.

Park won the meet with 312 points, followed by: 2, Forest Lake, 281.5; 3, White Bear Lake, 272; 4, Osseo, 268; 5, River Falls, 254; 6, Chisago Lakes, 242; 7, Tartan, 174.5; 8, Bloomington Kennedy, 172; 9, North St. Paul, 93; 10, South St. Paul, 88; 11, 22-23 WHS, 45 and 12, Hill Murray, 37.

Park’s Mason Darling placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.62 and finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in 52.78.

Damion Charpentier took second in the 200-yard IM in 2:18.96 and also swam to eighth place in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:02.11. Lalee Yang was third in the IM with a time of 2:20.72.

Parker Jeseritz placed third in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.44 and took fourth in the in 200 freestyle in 1:59.52.

Ethan Cole was seventh in the 500 in 5:54.40.

Jack Schweigert finished 10th in the 50 freestyle in 24.61.

Logan Schweigert was sixth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.47 and 10th in the 100 freestyle in 55.04.

Park divers all placed in the top seven. Ethyn Schilling was third (301.00), Carter Darling sixth (255.65) and Trey Jaso seventh (252.05).

The Wolfpack quartet of Jeseritz, Darling, Logan Schweigert and Jack Schweigert took second place in the 200-yard medley relay race in 1:46.53.

Park’s foursome of Darling, Jack Schweigert, Jeseritz and Yang was third in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:36.98. Park’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Yang, Charpentier, Logan Schweigert and Cole finished eighth in 1:45.07.

Park 99, White Bear Lake 86

Park swept the relays en route to another dual meet win in boys swim and dive Thursday, taking down the visiting White Bear Lake Bears 99-86.

Park’s team of Parker Jeseritz, Mason Darling, Damion Charpentier and Jack Schweigert won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:48.59. In the 200-yard freestyle relay it was Park’s Jack Schweigert, Lalee Yang, Hayden Bonner and Logan Schweigert winning in 1:40.78. In the final event of the day, the Wolfpack foursome of Darling, Logan Schweigert, Ethan Cole and Jeseritz won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:36.52.

Logan Schweigert finished first in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:12.62. Jack Schweigert won both the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.14 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.97.

Darling tried his hand at the 500-yard freestyle and won in 5:15.47. Jeseritz was second in the race, finishing in 5:25.82.

Yang was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:07.55. Darling was second in the 50 freestyle in 24.48 and Jeseritz third in 24.70. Ethyn Schilling (183.70 points), Carter Darling (165.55) and Trey Jaso (159.25) finished 2-3-4 in diving. Logan Schweigert was second (55.16) and Cole third (56.19) in the 100-yard freestyle. Cole was second in the 100-tyard backstroke in 1:06.65 and Charpentier third in 1:07.44. Yang took second in the breaststroke in :13.18.
