Park girls track team competes at White Bear Lake

The Park girls track & field team competed in an eight-team meet at White Bear Lake Thursday, April 18.
The Wolfpack took seventh in the meet dominated by Roseville which finished with 235.75 points, followed by Cambridge-Isanti, White Bear Lake, Hudson, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Irondale, Park and East Ridge.
It was the only track action for the Park athletes last week, as their home meet on Tuesday, April 16 was cancelled because of inclement weather. The teams are busy this week, though, with the Tom Moore Invitational in Woodbury Thursday and the Hamline Elite Meet Friday.
In the White Bear meet, the Park girls had several strong finishes. Rainna Jameson took second place in the long jump with a distance of 16-01.5.
Other notable finishes were:
Madeline Finstad took eighth in the 100 Meters.
Annelise Faletti took fifth in the 200 Meters and fourth in the 400.
Jameson was seventh in the 300 Meter Hurdles.
Zoey Bammert-Mueller placed ninth in the shot put with a throw of 29-07.50. She was fifth in the discus with her best throw of 89-10.
Faletti was fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 30-11.0, and Hailey Kieffer was an inch behind at 30-10.00. Vanessa Suh placed 10th with a jump of 29.09.50.
