Park made it two-for-two in the opening week of volleyball play Thursday, winning in straight sets at Hastings Thursday, Sept. 2.

Park won 25-11, 25-18 and 25-15 to go to 2-0 on the young season.

Park’s Emma Slusser had 18 kills to lead the Wolfpack. Audrey Sease had five and Sonja Lind four.

Addy Glide had 27 sets for Park. Megan Husaby topped the defense with eight digs, while Sease had five.

Park opened the 2021 volleyball season with a four-set victory at home over visiting Apple Valley. The Wolfpack triumphed 25-20, 18-25, 25=19 and 25-22.

Park plays at Mahtomedi Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Boys’ soccer

After struggling in its first few games to find the back of the net, Park’s offense arrived Saturday in a 3-0 win over Hastings at McNamara Stadium.

Park scored three goals in the second half after being tied 0-0 at halftime.

Michael Schult and Noah Haupt each had a goal and an assist to lead the Wolfpack. Charlie Gitzman scored the other goal and Ajub Mohamed notched the other assist.

Park improved to 2-1-2 on the season.

Park had its second 0-0 game in a week as the Wolfpack tied at Simley Thursday night.

Park got its first win of the season Tuesday in a 2-1 victory at Tartan. Schult and Mohamed scored goals for the Wolfpack. Haupt gained an assist.

Park plays at Stillwater Wednesday.

Girls’ swimming and diving A strong Stillwater team showed depth and speed as it dominated Park in girls swimming and diving at Stillwater Thursday, winning the team competition 100-76.

Park’s Caitlyn Greenwalt took second in 1-meter diving with a score of 205.95.

Park was third in the 200yard medley relay.

Amber Norgaard took third in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:07.71 and finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.87.

Alayna Faletti finished fourth in the 200-yard IM in 2:40.56 and was fourth in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:28.15.

Arachi O’Brien was fourth in the 50 freestyle in a time of 28.67.

Stillwater swam exhibition races only in the last few events.

Park’s team of O’Brien, Afton LeMay, Faletti and Norgaard finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:51.05. Zoe Pfeiffer of Park won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:18.26. LeMay was first in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:18.49. Park’s team of Lilianna Morris, Pfeiffer, Eraya Nybakken and Ellie Imdieke was first in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:50.59.
