Up for Council approval at the May 5 Cottage Grove Common Council Meeting were rental licenses, along with many other things. Among these were several proclamations, a contract between the City and the South Washington Watershed District, a Historic Preservationist of the Year Award, and one or two other matters.
Beginning with rental licenses, included in the May 5 meeting packet were license approvals for Todd & Mary Kelm; Anderson/ Beck and Allen/Kyle; Zhiming Tan, MJEM LLC, JDA Group LLC/ Julie Atkinson; and Craig Patterson.
The licenses, with street addresses on Ivystone Avenue, 72nd Street South, 92nd Street South, Harkness Road, Heron Avenue, and 81st Street South, are required per City Code Title 9-13, Property Maintenance, along with Title 9-14 Rental Licensing. In order to qualify for a rental license, applicants must submit the rental license application, make a payment of $180, and undergo a public criminal history report, with inspections of rental property carried out as part of the licensing process.
