Park softball team goes 2-1 Park 10, Roseville 0

Pitcher Gracie Bond delivered a powerful performance as visiting Park defeated Roseville at Fairview Softball Complex Tuesday, May 3.

“Gracie Bond pitched extremely well for the Wolfpack,” said head coach Bob Loshek, “We played great defense behind her and gave her more run support than she has had in some time.”

Leading the way at the plate for the Park hitters were Emma Ambroz and Bryleigh Dana who had two doubles each. Noelle Krumrie went 3-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Forest Lake 3, Park 2

Fourth-ranked Forest Lake pushed across three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge visiting Park Wednesday in SEC softball.

Park had scored two runs in the top of the seventh to take a 2-0 lead before the Rangers rallied in their half of the inning.

“(We) lost a very well-played game at Forest Lake on Wednesday,” said Loshek. “Unfortunately, much like the last time we faced Forest Lake, we gave the game away. We played hard the entire game, but just could not get any outs at home, which invariably led to three Ranger runs. We had Lauren Osland at second base with two outs in the top of the seventh in a tie game but could not plate her. Again, we played very well and deserved to win if we had made the plays that we are accustomed to making.”

Park 12, Mounds View 2

The Wolfpack bounced back from a tough loss at Forest Lake with a 10-run win in six innings at Mounds View Friday.

Bond struck out 12 Mustang hitters, while walking only one.

Emma Ambroz was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Park (7-4, 7-4) hosts third-ranked Stillwater (11-1, 11-1) Wednesday, March 11, then entertains East Ridge (7-2, 8-2) Friday, both games starting at 4:30 p.m.

Boys lacrosse goes 1-1 on the week Park 11, Roseville 10 Jake Westland powered in six goals as host Park won an 11-10 thriller over visiting Roseville Wednesday in Suburban East Conference boys lacrosse.

Aidan Brookins, Carlos LaBrosse, Angelo Cullen, Isaac Thompson and Brenden Bloedel each had a goal for Park in the win.

Bloedel added three assists and Westland two for the Wolfpack.

Woodbury 16, Park 1

Nothing went right for the visiting Wolfpack at Woodbury Friday, the host Royals piling it on in a 16-1 win.

Woodbury led 10-0 at the half. The loss was Park’s most lopsided of the season.

Park slipped to 4-2 in the conference and 4-3 overall.

Park plays at Stillwater (5-1, 7-1) Wednesday, May 11, then is at White Bear Lake (4-2, 5-2) Friday, May 13, both games starting at 7 p.m.
