The Washington County Board was slated to receive an update on the COVID-19 vaccination process in the county at its meeting Tuesday.
Date shows that the county is still in Phase 1a of the vaccination process, which includes medical personnel, EMS personnel, community vaccinators, COVID-19 testers and other health professionals, as well as adults in Intermediate Care Facilities.
Minnesota receives approximately 60,000 doses of the vaccine each week and allocates it to health systems, pharmacies, Federally Qualified Health Centers and Local public health departments.
To date, Washington County Public Health and Environment itself has received 3,200 doses, plus 71 bonus doses from multi-use vials. It has held nine vaccination clinics over seven days and plans eight between now and Feb. 1, which will require 1,200 more doses of vaccine.
