Energy abounded Saturday, April 5 at Woodbury High School with flying sidekicks and awesome board breaking from Master Kim’s World Class Taekwondo. Lively performances by Aspire Music Academy, inspiration from the Woodbury Royals Cheerleading and many other talents graced the main and community stages of the Woodbury Community Expo 2025.
Booths ranged from Math and Science Academy with information about their new expansion to the friendly turtle, slithering snake and beautiful birds found at Carpenter Nature Center’s booth with Animal Care Coordinator Abbey Holden. Insight into the Woodbury Police K9 Fund was provided by K9 Police Officer R. Boleen, while Master Kim opened up about his almost 30 years of teaching Taekwondo, with the last 12 years focused at his Doja in Woodbury.
Food vendors and a bouncy house kept the energy flowing for families and visitors, while ballroom dance graced the eyes of strolling patrons.
Outside the Expo people had the chance to be a kid again and experience the city vehicles of Woodbury including police cars, a fire truck and construction vehicles. Fire Explorer, Gage Adams, and fulltime Firefighter Paramedic Ella Schnackenberg, were ready and available for any questions.
It was an unforgettable family-fun experience brought together by connections that only a community can provide.
