Park girls lose a thriller at Roseville

Park let a tough one slip away Thursday, falling 47-45 to host Roseville in Suburban East Conference girls' basketball.

Park led 24-15 at the half but Roseville outscored the Wolfpack 32-21 after the break to claim the two-point victory.

Senior Tori Henderson scored 22 points to lead the Park team. Mesa Jameson added 15 points.

Park (3-14, 4-21) wraps up the regular season at home Wednesday, hosting rival Woodbury (7-9, 11-13) in a game with a 7 p.m. start.

White Bear Lake 65, Park 41

Suburban East Conference leader White Bear Lake scored 65-41 win over the Park Wolfpack Tuesday in girls' basketball.

The Bears led 30-17 at the half and outscored Park 35-24 after the break.

White Bear Lake moved to 14-2 in the conference and 18-6 overall.

Tori Henderson scored 12 to lead Park. Hailey Kieffer added 10 points.

Park boys go .500 for the week

Park’s yo-yo season continued Friday as the Wolfpack dropped an 88-77 decision to visiting Roseville Friday three days after winning on the road at White Bear Lake.

The loss dropped Park to 9-6 in the Suburban East Conference and 11-10 on the season. Roseville improved to 8-7 in the conference and 14-9 overall.

Roseville led by just a point at the half, 41-40, but pulled away from Park with a 47-37 edge after the break.

Senior guard AJ Kennedy scored a season high 30 points for the Wolfpack. Miskir Esayas scored 18 and Anthony Giadyu had 11.

Park 75, White Bear Lake 65

Park’s Wolfpack bounced back from a tough loss at East Ridge with a 10-point win at White Bear Lake Tuesday in a Suburban East Conference boys basketball contest.

The Wolfpack romped to a 51-30 halftime lead before allowing the Bears to close the gap a bit after the break.

Miskir Esayas dropped in 24 points to lead the Wolfpack in scoring. Kaeden Callais scored 16, AJ Kennedy scored a dozen and Tayvion Stewart had 10.

In the next-to-last week of the regular season, Park plays at Woodbury (5-10, 9-14) Wednesday, Feb. 21, then goes to Forest Lake (9-6, 14-8) Friday, Feb. 23, both games starting at 7 p.m.

Thunderbolts drop Owatonna

The South Washington County Thunderbolts won their final regular season game, besting Owatonna on the road in a 9-2 varsity floor hockey win.

The Thunderbolts play at Prairie Winds Middle School in Mankato Wednesday, Feb. 21, in the first round of the playoffs.
