Park’s January frustration on the basketball court added another chapter Friday night as the visiting Forest Lake Rangers took a 78-68 decision in Suburban East Conference boys' basketball.
It was Park’s sixth straight loss, fifth straight in January and third consecutive double-figure loss.
The Wolfpack fell to 3-4 in the SEC and to 6-7 on the season after a 5-0 start. Forest Lake went to 2-5 in the conference and 6-8 overall.
Park hosts Woodbury (5-9, 2-5) Friday, then pays at Stillwater (7-6, 4-3) Tuesday.
East Ridge 65, Park 55
Park’s struggles since the new year began continued Wednesday as the Wolfpack fell at seventh-ranked East Ridge 65-55.
It was Park’s fifth straight loss since starting the season 5-0.
East Ridge led 32-25 at the half and won the second half 33-30.
Brandon Bihm and Caleb Sweet led Park with 14 points each. East Ridge’s and Gopher signee Cedric Tomes scored 29 to lead all scorers.
Park slipped to 3-3 in the Suburban East Conference and to 6-6 on the season.
East Ridge went to 6-1 in the conference and 10-2 overall.
