After a tough loss at home to Apple Valley, Park’s boys team rebounded with a gritty 2-1 win over visiting Mounds View Thursday afternoon.
Park broke through for two goals in the second half after neither team could score in the opening period. Gavin Oberding and JJ Sanchez drilled in the winning goals for the Wolfpack. Logan Zumbado-Viehauser had the game’s only assist. Ben Fee got the win in the net.
The win put the Wolfpack at 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the Suburban East Conference.
Park hosts archrival East Ridge Thursday at Wolfpack Stadium in a game starting at 7 p.m. The Wolfpack then play a non-conference contest at Eastview Saturday, Sept. 14, starting at 5 p.m.
