Girls hockey team falls to Cretin-Derham Hall
Visiting Cretin-Derham Hall inflicted a 5-0 hurt on the homestanding Park Wolfpack in girls hockey action Tuesday night at Cottage Grove Ice Arena.
The Raiders pounded Park early and often with all five goals in the game happening in the first period. Cretin outshot the Wolfpack 30 to 13.
Park slipped to 2-4 in the Suburban East Conference and 5-5 on the season.
The Wolfpack travels to Scheels Rink in Hastings on Saturday. Dec., 23, for their next contest, starting at 1 p.m.
Thunderbolts open season with 8-0 triumph
The South Washington County Thunderbolts opened the 2023-24 floor hockey season with an 8-0 win Thursday over Shakopee/Chanhassen/Chaska/Prior Lake at East Ridge High School.
The Thunderbolts next play at South Suburban on Jan. 11.
