Young cagers win titles in CGAA tournament

Teams from Cottage Grove, Northfield, Hastings, Minneapolis, Apple Valley and East Ridge all won titles in the 49th Annual CGAA Classic Boys Tournament held Friday and Saturday at Park High School and Oltman Middle School.

  Cottage Grove B3 Green team beat Andover B3 Gold 34-32 for the third grade title.

  Woodbury B4 Blue defeated Northfield B4 Maroon 39-36 for the B4B title.

  Hastings B4 Blue topped Hastings B4 Gold 33-16 to win the B4C bracket.

  Minneapolis Lakers B5 Gold topped Cottage Grove B5 Green 41-35 for the B5A win.

  Northfield B5 Maroon went undefeated to win the B%B championship.

  East Ridge B5 Gray doubled the score on East Ridge B5 C White to win the B5C crown.

  Cottage Grove B6 Green won the B6B title with a 43-41 win over Northfield B6 Maroon.

  Apple Valley B6 White topped the field to take the B6A title.

  East Ridge B6 White topped East Ridge B6 C Gray 40-24 in the B6C title game.

  Northfield B7 Maroon got past Apple Valley B7 White 61-40 in their bracket.

  East Ridge B7 C Graye won the B&C bracket with a 50-25 win over East Ridge B7 C White.

Hastings B8 Blue topped Northfield B8 Maroon 48-32 in the finals.

  East Ridge B8 B Gold defeated Cottage Grove 44-16 for the title in B8B.

  East Ridge B8 C White won 40-25 over Northfield B8 Gold in the B8C bracket.
